ELA Games has strengthened its European expansion plans after gaining approval from the Hellenic Gaming Commission, Greece’s gaming regulators.

As a result of the green light, the developer will be able to offer its content portfolio to operators in the country. This includes a number of locally-tailored titles such as Cash of Gods and Wealth of Legends, which are inspired by Greece’s mythology.

Other titles such as Flame Fruits Frenzy, Detective Fortune and Noble Crown will also be available to players in the region.

Marharyta Yerina, ELA Games’ Managing Director, commented, “Acquiring the Greek license is a crucial step in our long-term growth strategy. Greece is a special market with a rich cultural history, so it’s incredibly important that we deliver high-quality and rewarding content that resonates with the local player base.

The approval continues ELA Games’ efforts to expand across Europe, having recently entered a number of new markets, including Sweden, Denmark and Serbia.

In April, the developer expanded into the Danish iGaming market via a partnership with Casino House.

This was closely followed by similar deals with Danske Licens Spil, which saw the studio’s content added to the company’s Tivoli Casino platform, and Betsson.

More recently, Superbet bolstered its  Serbian iGaming platform via a new partnership with ELA Games, integrating titles from ELA such as Joker Winpot, Shark Time 2 and Flame Fruits Frenzy.

“We’re excited to kick off our partnership with Superbet and grab a foothold in Serbia,” said Yaroslav Soloshenko, ELA Games’ Business Development Team Lead, at the time of the announcement.

“We’ve identified the market as crucial to our expansion, so we’re looking forward to serving players in the region and becoming a well-known name. The ELA Games team is committed to producing the best games that provide unforgettable memories and fun experiences for all.”
