Artificial intelligence has dramatically changed the way that global industries operate, creating quicker and efficient ways of developing products, running backend systems and changing user experiences.

If the impact hadn’t properly sunk in, SpaceX’s landmark $1.75 trillion IPO this month should be a wakeup call to anyone who is undervaluing the technology’s promise. Should fellow AI firms OpenAI and Anthropic also float, the story only becomes greater.

iGaming is one sector where AI’s impact can be far reaching. AI is already a mainstay of the sector, and those who have failed to integrate it into their operations are already falling behind.

The tech can impact many parts of an iGaming firm, from risk management to customer support and from personalised game recommendations to new live casino experiences.

How can AI make iGaming more profitable?

Gor Mnatsankyan, Regional Director at BetConstruct, explained that artificial intelligence has a plethora of use cases that the supplier is rolling out across its varied portfolio of products.

“We use AI across our business, from games development to the platforms,” Mnatsankyan told an audience in Valletta last month. “AI is very integrated into our platform right now. It helps operators to run their business more efficiently and can reduce costs.”

Far from just being the latest trend, AI is having a material impact on the way iGaming companies are operating both on the B2C and B2B level. But knowing how to deploy the technology will be a separating factor between those who survive this new era and those who don’t.

In an industry that is seeking to improve margins to boost the bottom line, AI can be crucial, but only if one knows where it can be most effective.

“Just by using the right AI tools to communicate with the CRM and the player data they have, (operators can) reduce the unnecessary spend on bonuses, on marketing, and other stuff,” Mnatsankyan added.

What iGaming products can AI help to build?

AI’s reach goes far beyond just back office optimisation, too. The doors have been opened on a new era of product development, with new ideas achieved more easily and products that previously could not be developed are now possible.

One solution that BetConstruct has developed is Betting Mate, an AI assistant that aims to take complex data and turn it into personalised recommendations for bettors.

Betting Mate, which was unveiled in Barcelona at the beginning of 2026, is designed to help operators increase engagement and achieve better results.

Mnatsankyan explained that the solution helps create far better and more personalised user experience.

“Players can just chat with the system and say, ‘I want to bet $5 and I want to have an outcome of $200.’ Based on the behaviour the player showed before, the AI will do it automatically, so it’s getting more entertaining for them as well.”

While creating more engaging and exciting user experiences, BetConstruct’s Regional Director also noted that Betting Mate also goes towards helping operators reduce costs and make their operations more lean and efficient.

“From the business perspective, you can spend less on promos, you can use it as a risk management tool, and you know how to segment and how to contact the right people from a marketing perspective.”
