Flutter Entertainment seems to be going all-in with its poker offering by uniting two of its biggest brands into one on a single platform.
The operator group has decided to combine its online poker brand, PokerStars, with the sports betting and iGaming brand FanDuel in the US and Canada, becoming PokerStars Exclusively on FanDuel.
PokerStars will be available exclusively via FanDuel in the US iGaming markets where the brand operates, which includes Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania, as well as in the Canadian province of Ontario.
The online poker brand began notifying players in the states about the change directly via email over the past few days.
PokerStars said in a statement: “PokerStars exclusively on FanDuel will create a best-in-class poker experience, launching via a dedicated poker app and desktop client, delivering shared player liquidity across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan.
“This means bigger games, larger prize pools and a broader selection of tournaments and cash games across those regulated markets.”
In addition, a FanDuel spokesperson told SBC Americas that since play will migrate to the FanDuel platform, PokerStars’ existing US sites will shut down and players will need to create a new FanDuel Casino account if they do not already have one.
An official launch date for the migration is yet to be confirmed, but SBC Americas reported that PokerStars info hub pages have indicated that in the US, PokerStars Rewards will end on 13 March and PokerStars Casino Progressive Jackpots will be removed on 1 April.
Any welcome offers for the new FanDuel-integrated platform will be given to new PokerStars sign-ups on FanDuel and existing PokerStars customers.
The PokerStars integration will also pool Pennsylvania players with users in Michigan and New Jersey under the Multi-State Internet Gaming Agreement. Pennsylvania has been part of the agreement since 2025.
However, this will not apply to Ontario players as the Canadian province currently doesn’t allow player pooling.
