Delta has provided details on its potential partnership with DraftKings which will involve in-flight entertainment.

Last month at the annual CES trade show in Las Vegas, a partnership between the airline and the operator was mentioned by Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta, during his keynote at the event. Further information has now been provided in an article on the Delta news hub.

Delta has announced that it is exploring a “first-of-its-kind collaboration” with DraftKings that will be part of its Delta Sync Wi-Fi service in 2025 for its SkyMiles members.

“The potential collaboration contemplates that eligible SkyMiles Members can access free gaming as an additional offering on Delta Sync Wi-Fi available through SkyMiles Members’ personal electronic devices,” the release stated.

Delta added that the Delta Sync experience “does not include gaming of any kind using real money or miles”, that it “will not make offerings available in violation of Federal, State or local laws” and that the DraftKings offering will be excluded from SkyMiles members under the age of 21.

The airline also has a partnership with YouTube to bring ad-free content to SkyMiles members while onboard most flights with Delta Sync Wi-Fi and Delta Sync seatback.

Julieta McCurry, VP of In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity, commented: “Delta is constantly listening to our customers and evolving to meet their needs.

“We know they want an in-flight experience similar to what they have at home, including more ways to engage and stay entertained – which is why we’re excited to continue scaling Delta Sync products and bring even more to the experience soon, including expected collaborations with brands like YouTube and DraftKings.”
