Gamban has improved the accessibility of its gambling support with its services now available in the language of Finnish.
The Finnish-language services addition means that gamblers in Finland who are looking for support can do so without the concern of language being a barrier towards finding tools to help control their gambling.
Gamban’s services are now available in seven different languages: English, French, Spanish, Dutch, Brazilian Portuguese, Finnish and Norwegian. Finnish-language services can be accessed by users once they update the Gamban app.
“Language should never be a barrier to accessing help,” commented Jack Symons, CEO of Gamban.
“By introducing Finnish to Gamban, we’re ensuring that more people in Finland can access the tools they need. We hope this update makes the process of blocking gambling on devices more intuitive and effective.”
Gamban’s Finnish-language service expansion comes as Finland seeks to move its online gambling market away from a monopoly model with the government-owned operator Veikkaus to a licensing system framework.
Finland’s Government received parliamentary approval to make changes to gambling laws and monopoly protections in March, and a new regulatory framework for gambling is scheduled to launch in 2027.
Within Finland, Gamban has a partnership with Veikkaus, which allows for fully paid Gamban licences to be distributed to customers free of charge.
Susanna Saikkonen, Vice President of Sustainability at Veikkaus, added: “Veikkaus has built a comprehensive and unique safer gambling environment for our customers, and Gamban is an additional service to those who want to make a self-exclusion to all Veikkaus games.
“It’s also offered to customers with signs of risky behaviour when they are contacted through care calls. Gamban has been a really helpful service, and we are happy that it’s now available in Finnish.”
