Digitain has reached a ‘significant milestone’ in its European expansion strategy after receiving approval for the Danish market.

Approval from the Danish regulator means that the company will now be able to supply its live games to operators across the market.

Digitain hailed the decision as highlighting its commitment to compliance with international regulatory standards, given Denmark’s reputation as one of the most regulated gaming markets in Europe.

Arshak Muradyan, Group Chief Compliance Officer at Digitain, commented:  “Obtaining the Denmark licence represents another important milestone in Digitain’s regulatory expansion journey and reflects our long-term commitment to operating within highly regulated markets.

“Denmark is recognised for its strong compliance standards and mature gaming ecosystem, making this achievement particularly significant for our continued European growth strategy. We are proud to begin building new partnerships in the market and bringing our live gaming solutions to Danish operators.”

Digitain is entering a market that continues to grow, as data from the Danish Gambling Authority revealed a 14.9% year-on-year uptick in revenue to DKK 731m (£84.8m) in March 2026.

Over half this figure, DKK 384m (£44.5m), was generated by the online casino vertical, while sports betting contributed a further DKK 217m (£25.2m). Gaming machines and land-based bingo contributed DKK 96m (£11.1m) and DKK 3m (£347,962), respectively.

European expansion continues

So far this year, the company has also received similar approvals in Ontario, the Isle of Man, the UK and Bulgaria.

The last of these approvals included a manufacturer and importer licence for the Bulgarian market, meaning that it can supply both its in-house developed games and provide third-party products to the Balkan nation.

Muradyan said at the time of the announcement: “Securing both licences in Bulgaria is an important step in strengthening our presence in regulated markets. This dual capability ensures that our partners can confidently operate and scale in the Bulgarian market with a reliable and fully compliant product offering.”
