3 Oaks Gaming has boosted its European expansion efforts through a new partnership with Microgame in Italy.

As a result of the deal, 3 Oaks’ portfolio of content will now be available to Microgame’s Italian players. This includes titles such as Sun of Egypt 5, Super Hot Teapots and Lucky Penny 2.

Francesco Cuzzupoli, Gaming & Sales Director at Microgame, commented: “We are delighted to welcome 3 Oaks Gaming to our growing network of premium content partners.

“Their portfolio offers a rich variety of high-quality, engaging titles that perfectly complement our commitment to delivering exceptional gaming experiences to players in the Italian market.”

3 Oaks first gained certification for the Italian market in October 2022 and debuted in March of the next year via an aggregation deal with Tuko Productions.

Earlier this month, the firm signed a similar deal with BetFlag, while also forming new relationships with AdmiralBet, StarVegas and GBO Italy in the country throughout the year..

Elsewhere in Europe, 3 Oaks developed its Dutch presence through a deal signed with Starcasino in September and Romania through a partnership with WINBET.

“Italy remains a crucial territory for our long-term growth, and we are confident that our diverse offering of high-performing titles will resonate strongly with Microgame’s extensive distribution network,” Luca Richter, Sales Manager at 3 Oaks Gaming, said on the company’s newest partnership.

“The collaboration with Microgame represents an important milestone in our strategic expansion across key European regulated markets.”

A new dawn for Italy

3 Oaks Gaming strengthens its Italian presence while the country’s stakeholders are getting to grips with a brand new regulatory framework.

52 licences from 46 operators were activated on 13 November by the Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM) as the country enjoyed a “smooth and decisive reset”.

At the heart of the organisation’s strategy for change is a ban on “skins”, which allowed multiple affiliate sites to operate under a single master licence. As a result, the new dawn signalled the closure of hundreds of gambling websites.

The organisation’s strategy for change also focuses on stricter compliance measures, advanced technological enforcement, and stronger anti-money laundering controls, as well as tackling Italy’s significant black market presence.
