Playtech is expanding the reach of its poker services, as the iGaming supplier has agreed to provide its poker network services and content to Pari Mutuel Urbain (PMU) in the French market.
The deal comes as PMU announces it will be joining the iPoker.EU Network. The operator will utilise Playtech’s suite of poker variants and features to bolster its offering, including cash games, poker tournaments and Twister Poker – the supplier’s flagship poker game.
“We are thrilled to partner with PMU, a leader in the French gaming market,” said Marat Koss, VP Interactive Gaming at Playtech.
“France is a key market for Playtech, and this collaboration continues to highlight our commitment to providing innovative and engaging poker solutions to our licensees needs, ensuring an engaging experience for their players.”
In addition, Playtech’s poker platform gamification and player engagement capabilities will be provided to the operator to help create a better player experience for PMU players.
“Partnering with Playtech and joining the iPoker network represents a strategic and significant step for PMU’s growth, allowing us to offer our players an unparalleled poker experience,” stated Stéphane Auffret, Product, Service and Innovation Director at PMU.
“This collaboration will enable us to enhance our offerings including a multi-vertical access to poker through Turf and Sports Applications, and consistently deliver the best experience and technology to our players. We are confident that this partnership will significantly elevate our poker offerings and drive substantial growth in the French market.”
Playtech’s partnership with PMU comes as the supplier undergoes a board reshuffle. Last month, the company announced that Brian Mattingley has stepped down as Chair, with several changes taking place across its committees as well.
Over the next few months, Mattingley will remain in situ to oversee the appointment of a new Chair and ensure an orderly handover. He will also step down from the board.
