The Gambling Regulators’ European Forum (GREF) has announced its latest board composition to reinforce collaboration amongst the continent’s gambling authorities.

The newly elected board includes several members in new positions as well as new members joining, each sitting on the board for a two-year term.

Leadership of GREF has changed, as Anders Dorph of the Danish Gambling Authority Spillemyndigheden has been elected as Chair, while Magali Clavie of the Belgian Gaming Commission Kansspelcommissie has been elected as Vice-Chair. Both were previously board members.

In addition, Tim Miller of the UK Gambling Commission will continue as Treasurer, while Jean-Michel Costes of the French gambling authority ANJ has been newly elected as Secretary.

GREF said in a statement: “We extend our warm congratulations to Mr Anders Dorph on his election as Chairperson and to Ms Magali Clavie as Vice-Chairperson. We look forward to their leadership in supporting GREF’s strategic objectives and reinforcing cooperation among European gambling regulators.”

Elsewhere, two new people were elected to the board as ordinary members in Michel Groothuizen of the Dutch gambling authority Kansspelautoriteit and Alexiou Antonis of Greece’s Hellenic Gaming Commission.

Meanwhile, Kinga Warda of the Malta Gaming Authority and Atle Hamar of the Norwegian Lottery and Foundation Authority Lotteritilsynet have both been renewed on the board as ordinary members.

GREF also took the time to thank ANJ’s Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin for her contribution as Chair.

“Her dedication and leadership have played a pivotal role in strengthening GREF as a platform for regulatory collaboration and best practice. We thank her warmly for her outstanding service to the association.”

GREF also announced that two new members have joined its network of regulatory authorities in Italy’s Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli and the Romanian National Gambling Office, bringing its total membership to 44 authorities.
