Genting Singapore has announced a raft of senior executive changes, promoting long-time insider Lee Shi Ruh to President and Chief Operating Officer, as the group refreshes its leadership team amid a challenging trading environment.
The overhaul sees Lee step up from her role as Chief Financial Officer—a position she held since 2010—after also serving as CEO of Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) earlier this year. She officially assumed her new group-wide post on 1 August and will report directly to Executive Chairman and acting CEO Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay.
Lee’s remit will include driving strategic execution, operational performance and sustainable growth across the group’s portfolio, with Genting citing her “proven track record of sound decision-making and strategic discipline” as key to the company’s next phase.
Replacing her as CFO is Ang Suat Ching, who adds the role to her current position as CFO of RWS. Ang will oversee the group’s financial planning, reporting, and treasury operations.
In a further boardroom move, Nanami Kasasaki has stepped down from her posts as Chief Corporate Officer (CCO) of Genting Singapore and Director of RWS.
Chairman Lim said the reshuffle signals Genting’s commitment to long-term value creation and leadership renewal: “These appointments reflect our commitment to leadership renewal as the Group enters its next phase of growth. Shi Ruh brings a clear understanding of our long-term priorities. We also welcome Suat Ching to the executive team, whose financial expertise will support our ambitions.”
The changes come as Genting Singapore seeks to stabilise performance following a soft start to 2025. First-quarter revenue fell 20 per cent year-on-year to S$626.2 million, with gaming revenue at RWS down 24 per cent and non-gaming revenue declining 10 per cent.
Looking ahead, the board of Genting Singapore said it will continue to closely monitor macroeconomic conditions across Asian markets, as the group positions itself for a more resilient and targeted phase of regional growth.
