European iGaming supplier Amusnet has focused its sights on the burgeoning African market for the next phase of its growth.
With a vast increase in mobile penetration as well as internet availability and expanding audiences, Amusnet sees a real opportunity to expand its position in Africa iGaming in 2025.
Hamed Rahimi, Business Development Manager at Amusnet, explained that African iGaming offers vast potential for growth across both operators and suppliers.
“Africa is on track to become one of the world’s fastest-growing gaming markets, driven by advancements in mobile technology and a highly engaged player base,” he said.
Rahimi has identified three key reasons for the iGaming sector to keep an eye on Africa, the first of which is the continent’s youthful population twinned with the increased internet availability.
Affordable data plans and the widespread adoption of smartphones make online platforms more accessible, driving a growing demand for virtual casino games, the company highlighted.
Second of all is the growing move towards regulation across various African markets, with Nigeria, South Africa and others all setting up frameworks for regulated iGaming.
It goes further than this though, in Amusnet’s view. The company highlights a shift to standardising iGaming regulation across the continent, which opens up further opportunities.
Rahimi adds: “For investors and operators, establishing local partnerships to navigate regulatory complexities is essential, as compliance forms the foundation for building trust-based relationships.”
Third of all, Amusnet points towards the rapid development of technology and accessibility in Africa as a key growth driver. The company does warn though that mobile-friendly gaming solutions are essential as traditional desktop access remains limited for many communities.
“The future of slot gaming in Africa hinges on understanding local cultures, delivering innovative products, and addressing the unique payment and regulatory landscapes,” noted Rahimi.
But as global iGaming looks towards Africa in 2025 as a big opportunity, Amusnet is eager to establish itself as a key provider of engaging and safe games for players across the continent.
Rahimi noted: “Our vision at Amusnet is to establish ourselves as a key player in Africa’s gaming landscape. This involves expanding our portfolio to meet the unique needs of the African market by delivering localised content and services.
“We are also focused on continuously enhancing and diversifying our game offerings to align with the evolving preferences of African players and provide exceptional gaming experiences.”
