Alea has diversified its content through a new partnership with Apollo Gaming as it seeks to pursue expansion in Africa’s emerging iGaming markets.

As a result of the collaboration, Alea’s operator partners will now gain access to 90 titles from Apollo Gaming’s portfolio, including Blood Revival, Bonus Joker II and Dice 81.

Alongside being licensed for a slew of European jurisdictions, Apollo Games has also committed to expanding into Africa’s emerging markets, currently holding a presence in Kenya and Uganda.

Meanwhile, Alea has inked partnerships with a number of operators in the region, including jaragames.com in Nigeria, Pelican Betting in Zambia and KiwiBet in Ghana and Uganda.

Eduard Verdaguer, Partnerships Manager at Alea, commented: “ “Their proven track record across Europe and Africa, combined with a strong focus on game diversity and reliability align perfectly with our mission to empower operators through scalable, secure, and high-performing content.”

African growth

The rise of iGaming in Africa has been largely-driven by increased mobile penetration, unlocking the potential of a myriad of markets across the continent.

Despite offering novel challenges compared to more mature markets, the key to success in the region remains localisation, according to industry experts, which Alea hopes to achieve through this latest partnership.

Speaking to iGaming Expert previously, Christopher Coyne, Co-Founder and CEO of 888 Africa, said: “To win in Africa is some of the same as to win in iGaming around the world. Operators must present a quality brand that has meaning.

“The product offering has to be quality, and the user experience has to be simple and consistent. The customer experience must be customer-first as best as it can be. A service presented in the local languages and that is 24/7 will appeal.”

A busy December

The partnership continues Alea’s recent efforts to strengthen its aggregation platform.

Earlier this month, the company signed a similar content partnership with Just Slots, integrating titles such as Shogun Skylord, Book of Arcane 100, Rain & Ruin, and Unholy Mystery.

“[Just Slots’] fresh ideas, innovative mechanics, and creative approach perfectly complement Alea’s mission to provide operators with engaging, high-quality content,” said Verdaguer at the time of the announcement.

“This partnership is about combining new energy with deep experience to bring something truly exciting to players and operators alike.”
