Luckia Gaming has begun a ‘new chapter in Galicia’ with the inauguration of its new corporate headquarters in the city of A Coruña.

The new headquarters is the largest investment ever made by Luckia, the B2C flagship brand of heritage Spanish gambling group EGASA, and serves as a testament to the company’s ambition to expand its presence across Spain and international markets.

Officially opened this week, the corporate campus has capacity for almost 1,000 employees and ranks among the most advanced office developments in the province of Galicia.

The building is the first property in the region to achieve LEED Platinum certification, the highest international standard for sustainable construction – incorporating geothermal energy, aerothermal systems and photovoltaic technology.

The opening ceremony was attended by regional and local dignitaries, including Galicia President Alfonso Rueda and A Coruña Mayor Inés Rey, highlighting the significance of the project for both the city and the wider autonomous community.

A hub for future expansion

For Luckia, the headquarters represents far more than a new office. The company views the investment as a reaffirmation of its Galician roots and its commitment to being one of the region’s largest private employers and taxpayers.

Founded in 1972 EGASA, serves as one of Spain’ leading machines distributors for gaming and leisure venues. In 2017 EGASA unified and rebranded its online gambling portfolio under the Luckia Gaming brand – a unit that would later be separated from the main conglomerate.

Through its parent group EGASA, Luckia has evolved from a regional gaming and leisure operator into one of Spain’s most popular gambling brands.

Today, the group employs thousands of people across multiple jurisdictions and contributes approximately €50m annually through taxes and social contributions, with around €15m generated in Galicia alone.

Speaking at the inauguration, Luckia President José González described the opening as the beginning of a new corporate era.

“We inaugurated a new stage in Luckia. A stage born in A Coruña, built from Galicia, but one that looks ambitiously towards the world,” González said.

The executive stressed that the company remains committed to investing in talent, training and innovation, highlighting that Luckia now delivers more than 60,000 hours of employee training each year.

Among the initiatives announced alongside the opening were new partnerships with ISDI, a leading digital education institution, a start-up accelerator programme designed to support Galician technology companies, and a series of public innovation conferences hosted by Fundación Luckia.

The investment comes as Luckia seeks to strengthen its position within Spain’s regulated gambling market.

Through continued investment in technology, product development and customer engagement, the company believes it can continue to grow market share across sports betting, gaming and digital channels.

By opening a landmark headquarters in its home region, Luckia has signalled that Galicia will remain at the centre of its growth strategy as the company pursues further expansion across Spain and international markets.
