A deep dive into slot launches performance from 2024 iGamingTracker.com has revealed the significant success of “Big Bass” series which continued to flourish throughout the year.
It emphasises that fishing titles continue to be successful in fuelling engagement from players within the iGaming space, even as gamification continues to be a focus.
The Big Bass games that finished the highest in the rankings was the Vegas Double Down Deluxe title, followed by Floats my Boat, Secrets of the Golden Lake and the Xmas Xtreme titles.
Blueprint’s Fishing Frenzy also made an appearance on the top 20 slots, further underlining the success of the fishing theme.
Furthermore, the top 20 rankings underlined the significant influence of Pragmatic Play, with the supplier accounting for 11 of the top 20 games.
There was also a key indictment to the evolution of gamification as ELK Studios’ Pirots 3 enjoyed major success as the second place game for 2024.
At the top of the mantle however, was Pragmatic Play’s Sugar Rush 1000, underlining that new approaches and embarking on a different avenue for engagement can result in success for suppliers.
Interestingly, the group detailed that October is the most landmark month for game releases, potentially being down to the importance of tapping into the Halloween theme.
According to the report, four of the top 20 games of the year were released during the month of October, with November and May also enjoying significant engagement.
As well as this, there were major differences in trends from the US and Europe – as Light & Wonder, White Hat Gaming, Everi, DWG, IGT, achieved major success in the North American market.
Providing details into its methodology, the firm also emphasised the importance of analysing slots over a 100 day period.
The group stated: “Many new slots start with exclusive operator deals, influencing their early rankings. By 100 days, most games have stabilised in their positions, making this timeframe a reliable measure of their long-term traction. It also ensures a consistent comparison between early- and late-year releases.”
