mkodo has undergone a leadership transition with the appointment of David da Silva as Managing Director, replacing Co-Founder Stuart Godfree.
da Silva brings experience in product, commercial strategy and regulated iGaming markets to mkodo, as the Pollard Banknote company grows and continues to assist operators, marking 25 years of operations.
With mkodo entering a new phase, Godfree was praised for helping the company on its journey so far, guiding it from ‘early mobile innovation to a globally-recognised technology partner supporting operators’.
Godfree stated: “Reaching 25 years is a proud milestone for mkodo. The business is in a strong position, with proven technology, long-standing partnerships and an exceptional team.
“David’s leadership will ensure mkodo continues to innovate while staying focused on reliability, compliance and player experience in the world’s most regulated markets.”

Stepping in as Managing Director, da Silva believes iGaming operators that can demonstrate experience and trust will succeed.
He said: “iGaming is, at its core, an entertainment product—but one that now operates under intense regulatory scrutiny. The operators that succeed in the next phase will be those who can deliver both—seamless, engaging experiences and robust, automated compliance. That balance will define the winners.”
mkodo will expand its core product suite under its new Managing Director, including GeoLocs, to assist operators in adapting to global regulations and delivering strong player experiences.
da Silva continued: “Markets like Brazil and parts of North America, most recently Alberta, Canada, show just how quickly regulation is evolving. That creates both opportunity and complexity. Our role is to help operators scale with confidence—delivering experiences players love, while meeting the highest compliance standards behind the scenes.”
