SpinOro expands Balkan presence through local partnerships

SpinOro has bolstered its presence in the Balkans through the rollout of casino titles across Serbia, Romania and Greece.

This was achieved through the formation of partnerships with established operators in the region.

In Serbia, SpinOro partnered with MaxBet, while NetBet and Maxbet.ro were the platforms of choice for SpinOro in Romania. Meanwhile, in Greece, the developer linked up with Novibet.

On the expansion, SpinOro’s COO Jeff Letlat commented: “Balkan markets are increasingly digital, but remain hyper-local in their expectations. Mobile usage is dominant, yet game preferences are shaped by national culture, not global trends.”

“Operators in the region are hungry for content, but not just for volume. What’s needed is games that speak the language of their players – literally and metaphorically.”

According to SpinOro, the studio focused on the need for hyper-local content in the region by carefully selecting which titles were made available to players.

In Serbia, SpinOro introduced titles such as Pyramid Spin and Aladdin Treasure Megaways that feature a Buy Bonus feature, feeding into Serbia’s passion for sports betting, which demands immediacy and control.

Whereas, in Romania, titles such as Alice and Age of Legends play on NetBet’s established reputation for variety and quality. Meanwhile, SpinOro utilised platform raffles and social media giveaways to promote their presence on Maxbet.ro due to the operator’s strong digital presence.

Finally, to stand out in Greece, SpinOro drew on iconic Greek mythology with titles such as Hera’ Treasure and Riches of Troy.

Remaining culturally relevant

SpinOro, a spin-off of Anaktech, has over 200 in-house games available in more than 20 languages, and Letlat recently spoke to iGaming Expert about how the studio ensures its content resonates with a diverse global audience.

He said: “Relevance is key when you’re working at a global scale. Our team puts significant effort into tailoring content based on regional preferences – everything from game themes and character designs to mechanics.

“We regularly analyse player data and local trends to make informed development decisions, and we adapt gameplay to suit different regulatory frameworks and cultural expectations. We also incorporate feedback from our partners and their players – it’s a two-way process that ensures our games deliver.”
