LeoVegas Group is seeking to strengthen its brands in the UK iGaming market with the opening of a new office in Leeds.

The gambling group will occupy the ground and lower ground floors of Tailor’s Corner, a Grade A office building in Leeds’ city centre, with a total of 5,000 square feet currently being renovated.

The Leeds location will be LeoVegas’ second office in the UK, alongside its Newcastle headquarters, which have been run by the group since 2018.

“We’re looking forward to moving into our new Leeds office shortly,” commented Gethin Evans, Managing Director UK and Ireland at LeoVegas Group.

“It’s an important step towards our key goal to continue building the strength of our hero brands in the UK, BetMGM and LeoVegas, by attracting top talent. Leeds will support our main office in Newcastle, which will continue to remain the UK heart of LeoVegas Group.”

LeoVegas’ Leeds office builds upon the UK expansion of the group over the past few years, including the launch of the BetMGM brand in the country’s market in 2023, as well as partnerships with Premier League clubs Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

As part of the expanding UK office presence, LeoVegas has begun recruiting for several positions, including a Senior UK Sports Director, Senior Finance Business Partner and Legal Counsel position.

However, the group is also saying goodbye to Sam Behar, who announced earlier this week that he is moving on from his position as Director of UK and Sponsorship.

“After more than two years with BetMGM/LeoVegas, I’ll be moving on as part of a wider business transformation,” Behar said on LinkedIn.

“It’s been a privilege to be part of the company’s journey during a period of growth and change, and I’m proud of the progress made and the teams I’ve worked alongside. I’m grateful for the relationships built and experiences gained, and I’m now open to exploring what’s next.”

Somewhat fuelled by a thriving fintech sector, Leeds has become a significant tech hub within the UK in modern times, rivalling Manchester and London for top spot in terms of growth.

LeoVegas joins Sky Bet and DAZN in the Yorkshire city, as Leeds continues on the upward trajectory in terms of hosting innovation.
