Chile casinos report slight revenue dip for 2025

The Chilean Superintendence of Casinos of Gaming (SCJ) has reported a slight decrease in annual casino revenue for 2025.

According to the group, the 22 casinos authorised under Law No. 19,995 recorded gross gaming revenue of 509,826 million pesos, which in real terms, represents a 4.5 percent decrease compared to the previous year.

In addition, the SCJ detailed that the total tax contribution in 2025 amounted to 214 million pesos, implying a real decrease of 4.7 percent compared to 2024. This tax revenue is broken down as follows: specific gaming tax (84,363 million pesos), value-added tax (VAT) (81,401 million pesos), and gaming floor entry tax (28,450 million pesos).

The regulatory authority also specified that, in 2025, the three casinos operating under municipal concessions recorded gross gaming revenue of 39,483 million pesos, which in real terms was 0.5 percent higher than in 2024.

Visits and average spending in Chilean casinos

Furthermore, footfall also dropped – with 926,873 visits by the end of 2025, marking a real decrease of 7.2 percent compared to the previous year. Based on the accumulated gross gaming revenue, the average spending per visit is calculated at 86,019 pesos, a figure that represents a real increase of 3.3 percent compared to 2024.

On the other hand, by the end of 2025, a total of 69,042 million pesos had been collected under the concept of economic offers. These payments are managed through the General Treasury of the Republic and are distributed to each municipality under the same timeline as the transfer of the specific gaming tax.
