SOFTSWISS has taken the next step for its casino platform by completing its first migration to Oracle’s Kubernetes Engine (OKE).
The technology provider said that the move represents one of the first steps in the modernisation of its casino platform infrastructure, and has plans to further deploy OKE across its portfolio.
According to SOFTSWISS, transitioning to OKE will allow greater platform resilience, improve stability during periods of traffic spikes and faster delivery of product updates and integrations.
Sergey Kastukevich, Chief Technology Officer at SOFTSWISS, commented: “Kubernetes has been the backbone of our shared infrastructure services for years, supporting our core services as they scaled.
“Extending the entire Casino Platform to the same cloud-native architecture was a natural progression. Beyond modernising the underlying infrastructure, this transformation gives us greater operational consistency, more efficient workload orchestration, and faster, more reliable software delivery.
“Most importantly, it gives us a stronger foundation for the future – allowing us to continuously deliver new capabilities without compromising the reliability our customers depend on.”
The move continues the transformation of SOFTSWISS as the company seeks to address the changes seen within the global iGaming industry.
At the beginning of July, the company confirmed that it has identified a new positioning strategy to address trends of greater market fragmentation, greater complexity for operators and a shift from ‘transactional vendor relationships’ to long-term partnerships.
SOFTSWISS highlighted that it is seeking to meet the demands of its over 1,500 brand partners by providing regulatory expertise, operational reliability and strong service.
Ivan Montik, Founder of SOFTSWISS, said at the time of the announcement: “The role of the technology partner has fundamentally changed over the past few years. As iGaming becomes more regulated and more complex, operators need much more than technology alone. They need a partner that understands regulations, brings operational expertise, and supports sustainable growth over the long term.
“Over the past 17 years, we’ve built those capabilities alongside the technology at the core of our business. Our updated positioning doesn’t change who we are – it simply reflects the company we’ve become and the role we already play for our partners.”
