Soft2Bet is allowing players to build their own island with a new system to bolster retention called MEGA Islands.
The latest addition to the MEGA suite brings a progression layer that carries over sessions, where players construct their own island over time and collect resources through gameplay to build, upgrade and unlock new stages.
Players of the MEGA Islands system can also plunder other islands to gain resources and progress their own islands and the feature has no fixed endpoint.
Soft2Bet believes MEGA Islands can help operators ‘create stronger player journeys, longer engagement cycles and more consistent value in competitive markets’.
Yoel Zuckerberg, Chief Product Officer at Soft2Bet, commented: “MEGA Islands is designed to make retention feel natural by giving players a progression journey they want to keep returning to.
“When players can build their own island, collect resources, unlock upgrades through plundering, each session becomes part of a longer experience. That gives players a clear reason to return while providing operators with a retention tool that fits naturally across casino and sportsbook.”
Soft2Bet has already announced one market it is bringing MEGA Islands to in Sweden with the launch of its Lodur iGaming platform.
Lodur aims to provide Swedish online casino and sports betting players with an experience tailored to their preferences, including local payment methods, sports events, live slots and live dealer titles.
On the launch of Lodur, Zuckerberg stated: “Lodur shows what our product toolkit can do when Soft2Bet’s MEGA is applied to social mechanics and PvP progression.
“We have built a journey that keeps players building, competing and returning to Lodur, without adding friction to the core experience.”
Soft2Bet may be looking to bring MEGA Islands to another market it has recently expressed interest in – Alberta.
